First Time Skydiver Questions

What Should I Wear When Skydiving?

Comfortable clothing and sneakers work well for skydiving - no sandals, open-toe shoes or boots. Tee shirts and shorts are ideal for summer and layers are preferred for winter.

We recommend that all of our guests not wear jewelry and place anything in pockets for your skydive.

Is there a weight restriction?

All guests may not weigh more than 230 lbs. Please give us prior notice if weighing more than 200lbs.

Is there a skydiving age limit or any skydiving age requirements?

All guests must be at least 18 years of age and must have a valid, government issued ID.

What altitude do you jump from?

We jump from 10,000.

Are appointments required for skydiving?

Appointments are recommended. We try our best to accommodate walk-ups but cannot guarantee walk-ups. Reservations can be made by scheduling online. If you have questions feel free to call (850) 419-3580.

What if the weather forecast looks bad?

Weather is unpredictible. If you've got a long drive to the skydiving center, please give us a call before you drive out at (850) 978-4532.

Should I eat before a skydiving jump?

It is recommended that you eat normally before your skydive. Making a skydive is not like being on a roller coaster - your stomach will not be in your throat, so there shouldn't be a big concern of being sick. The chances of becoming sick while skydiving are increased if guests don't eat as low blood sugar with an adrenaline rush can leave guests feeling sick - so eat normally, but don't overeat.

Can I bring my dog to the drop zone?

We are dog lovers ourselves, but regrettably no dogs are permitted at Skydive North Florida.
